Same. The jokes just didn’t land the same way as when they had to convey the entirety of the joke visually. They felt like they became lazier (the joke itself), and the execution itself definitely was lazier.

Thank you, I felt like I was going crazy seeing decent reviews of this when two of the three main PvP modes are terrible. As you said, Smash the Star becomes a slog of camping and actively incentivizes not participating and the survival mode where only half of your team gets to really play at a time is such an awful

The size of the projectiles and their speed make it tough to know if you’re hitting anything, or how much you need to adjust your aim. In Splatoon, you have a much better idea of where your projectiles are hitting, even with the built in randomness of the shots. But in Foamstars, the projectiles are so large, that it

Woomy!

There’s a lot there I actively enjoy honestly, I WANT to like it so badly. The general concept is a fun riff on the Splatoon formula if it was closer to a traditional shooter. But I lost count of the times I died just because I would get stuck behind a slightly taller mound of foam and my character had no idea how to

Man, those quips got old fast. There’s something to be said for Nintendo’s penchant for having characters speak in unintelligible gibberish that can be tailored for maximum appeal.

He also told VGC that it would be an honor if fans of Foamstars and Splatoon eventually created a nickname for the odd genre.

Im sorry but Foamstars is not it.  It was not enjoyable in the beta I dont see it staying.

I played the open test they did a little while ago and it does certainly play differently than Splatoon, but covering the arena in your color is still pretty important even if it doesn’t directly affect the scoring system, so I don’t think Splatoon comparisons are unfair at all.

I think I’ve still got that USB dongle the DS could connect to before wifi was ubiquitous.

The left joystick usually gets used more. You use it to navigate menus, move characters and so on. The right one just sees less use generally so the components aren’t as worn.

I once ripped ass so loud it woke me up one Saturday morning. I dread learning how much is going on in the middle of the night.

True, they already sold bathwater, well one did lol.  Hell I already know I’m a gassy fella I don’t need to record my sleep farts.  But I would like to hear the first sleep shart lol.  The sounds of bubbling pudding followed by oh shit not again haha.

But a one-minute-long video that just says “here’s where and how to do it” would be completely pointless because you, a person who is not a member of the speedrunning community and will never invest the time in the game necessary to pull of frame-perfect tricks, will never be able to do it. The point behind this kind

I met the guy once when he came to our studio. He even stopped by my desk to comment on all my Chrono Trigger/Cross stuff. Well, through a translator of course.

I was on the fence but once I learned that it is a Wadjet Eye game, I bought it. It’s definitely on my play-list for Halloween! Sorry, I just skimmed the article because I want to know as little about it as possible going in.

Asmongold, Mizkif, and xQc kept specifically targeting my fandom by name and wiping all of our pixel arts out of existence.
