I’ll assume you already listen to Explosions in the Sky. Might like El Ten Eleven. Pelican is good but heavier for sure. They Will Destroy you is very similar , and maybe 65daysofstatic.

Alice isn’t Dead!!!!!  That was soooo awesome!

NPR nerd in the house.

there’s has been plenty of european rally cars brought over to compete over the years. It can be all done under the temporary import permit and the cars can drive on the roads.

*Rally driver is clearly, viciously mad.*

He has never secured a championship

More proof that a racecar version of any car is cool.

Yea a gazzo Prius would get no objections from me either. As fun as a GTi and Si while still getting 40-50mpg? Winner winner chicken dinner.

I’d buy it. And I mean that in a way that I would literally drive my current car to a Toyota dealership and sign papers tonight for a proper GRMN or whatever Prius. 212hp and AWD in something that size would be an absolute blast.

Building a rally machine from a showroom car that isn’t a Subaru can be a pain in the ass.

Honestly, when you consider that the Prius has one of the most aerodynamic bodies of any production car, a performance version isn’t the craziest idea. The biggest hurdle would just be the general public’s inability to wrap their head around it.

I always thought they should make a hotter Prius or at least a TRD spec one. Take the Rav4 hybrid drivetrain and go from there.

“Public roads not built to be raced on” describes basically every rally stage in existence

Have you ever gone to a rally? Outside of the works teams it’s full of amateur rich guys (not all of them old) just having fun doing their hobby.

I’m sure there will be meaningful investigations into what happened and any possibly mitigations that could be put in place to reduce likelihood in future. Everything I’ve ever heard about the organising team has been overwhelmingly positive, and their safety record was pretty exceptional. Maybe there was some

Yeah if you crab walk into a curb trying to pull a U-turn, it’s your own damn fault now.

In a lot of applications it changes from opposite-at-low-speed to same-at-high-speed. HICAS (Nissan) and Porsche’s system in the 918 and 991 GT3 and Turbo both come to mind.

Not entirely correct more than one rear steer system will also steer in the same direction at higher speeds to reduce the rotational inertia required to to small maneuvers at speed. The Prelude is one that comes to mind.

Some four wheel steering systems automatically switch between counter steering at low speed and steering the same direction (complementary steering?) at some higher speed.  But I don’t know of any previous street vehicle that allows manually selecting either mode.

The prelude steered in phase with the front wheel up to 1.5degrees, then switched back
