All rally cars are required to be road legal, registered, and insured because they drive on the streets with regular traffic between stages.
Correct
That’s Global Rallycross, not World Rallycross
This year all the races were livestreamed on the Ford Performance youtube and facebook (and the episodes are still there if you want to go back and watch. Next year they’ll probably be on the official WorldRX youtube channel
He’s absolutely ready for WRC2, but no way would I call him ready for a full season in the WRC. He’s shown incredible talent for his age, but in his first outing in WRC2 he was handily outpaced by Tidemand, Suninen, Veiby, Camilli, etc. And the competition at the top level is magnitudes higher. Just look at Robert…
Way too soon to put Kalle full time in a WRC car. He hasn’t even done a full season of WRC2 yet. Or hell, even a full season of Juniors
Colin Clark went back to his kitchen table to discuss the details (with some added speculation)

They’re not tube frames wrapped to look like production cars. They’re all built on from-the-factory body shells. Good example here if you look at the chassis nearest. The silver is as it came from the factory, the darker bits are add-ons.
I agree
The new spec cars are even more than that. Mads Østberg is selling his 2017 rally car, with nine rallies on it for $682,000.
To be fair, the video is from the Eifel Rallye Festival, which is more a show than an actual rally. Half the drivers are there more to have their unique/historic cars be seen than actually compete. (Also some rally drivers just aren’t fast)
It’s not confirmed yet. It’ll either be M-Sport or retirement, but Ogier hasn’t said which yet. That clip of Malcolm Wilson saying “Sebastien Ogier will be driving for us next year” is from 2016
More that you don’t need to know your speed when racing, you do need to know your RPM
This explains why Ogier decided not to announce his 2018 plans until after the rally
And the accent isn’t fake
