1986 Chevy Celebrity wagon. Bought it in ~1995 with 200K on it (it was used for deliveries and had a GM reman trans recently installed) for $100 from a friend of a friend who couldnt keep it running. New ignition module and unfcuking the plug wires got it going.

Not sure how many were made in the first place, but according to Polk registration data as of last month, there are about 46,800 of them (2007-2009) still out there and only 282 of them being hybrids.  This time last year there were 319 hybrids still registered.

I have Polk registration data for work and for fun I ran numbers (as of Oct 2022) on all these on the list. Interesting to see how few (or many in some cases) of these things are still registered and bumping around the roads. There are more Taurus X’s still running around than Metris - Metrisses (Metrii?). Also 5 4

How much do I love this comment?

My dad and I visited Universal Studios in the mid 70s when it was all about the movies - no rides really and at the front gate when we were walking in was Evel and his Stutz Bearcat, crashed into a pole. Seems that someone had talked their way onto the lot Evel was at saying they were taking it for service and didnt

I still hate that this is the market these days, but given that market and this truck as it sits - yeah, definite NP.

I want to turn the M upside down

Having lived there for a couple years I have but two words:

Indeed.  Can’t think of too many other reasons why one would venture there intentionally.

Blech. This is a little less offensive but I can’t figure out why they come over. Straight out would look fine.

I’m going to go with a Goodwill store along with a hint of old knee brace.

Having grown up going on adventures with my grandparents in their slightly larger and having a bathroom B-series Dodge van Chinook, the nostalgia is high but for 25 Grrr you can’t get a matching set of 14 inch tires on the thing?

Send this Rover back to the pound.  ND.

Mercury. Villager. Nautica.

I see Dick hadn’t yet gotten his arm extensions in that scene.

You missed a couple gems named Kaleb and Gerald.  I enjoyed both way more than Clarkson.
