I found the FB group PNW Stolen Cars and its a train wreck I can’t seem to look away from. Holy crap, it’s literally the Wild West mostly between Portland and Seattle. Tweakers stealing, stripping and wrecking practically everything that moves but they really Really REALLY seem to love early-mid aughts Super Duties.
We got enough to worry about with shitty drivers and broken down crapcans on two axes. Why do we need to add a third?
Its not in the VIN itself, but it can be used to get as-built data from the OEM which includes the paint code / color.
NP, so much so the ad is gone. Assuming the underside wasnt swiss cheese, that was a good deal. And I dont even like these.
Then this has GOT to be a 1 of 1 car! Practically no one ordered that option.
This is the only correct EV/HV sound.
I was about to ask how this could have been overlooked, but I know why. It’s 46 years old. Exidy’s Death Race - where the object was to hit and kill pedestrians with your car. When you hit them, they would “scream” and turn into a tombstone that you had to avoid while you drove around trying to add additional body…
Soon to appear at a tweaker camp near you.
I’m in the collision repair segment - while it does happen and I dont have any statistics to back it up, my experience has been that its relatively rare that rollover accident damage is minor enough to be repaired. If it winds up on its top, it’s done and the cost of that glass isn’t gonna make a bit of difference.
Seems that should be the expectation but to get through that canvas (plus headliner) with any margin of error the roll bar would need either some sharp edges or points to initiate the cut which wouldn’t be desirable from a normal occupant safety situation. Safety glass is pretty much guaranteed to give way.
Looks like the third choice is for those that hate punctuation
I was thinking the exact same thing. TBH I could see the same thing with the cruise. In my daily life I dont drive long or far enough to use it but should I take a long road trip, I might pony up the $20 to have it for that trip.
“A crash is imminent. Would you like to renew your airbag subscription?”
