If the driver would have had a CDL (commercial drivers license) with doubles endorsement it would have been legal. Still could have been cited for travelling too slow... Seen this occasionally - usually a truck towing a 5th wheel towing a boat.

The $3,100 repair is roughly equivalent to sales tax, registration and maybe a few months worth of car and insurance payments. If the rest of the car is sound and he doesn’t hate it - it’s a no brainer - fix it. For me anyway.

A car with FOURTEEN miles on it needed a “partial restoration in 2006"?!?!

They don’t make whitewalls in 30x9.50-15 so you have to grind the white letters off  by vigorously rubbing them against curbs to get to the base material.

Wow, just wow. I can see my SO sticking with me maybe until it got to $900 (for something I was supposed to get for practically nothing) but then for me to continue to purchase for over twice that?

Isn’t Careless Purchase also a shitty song by Wham?

Ran when parked (at 400 feet up).

I hope we never get flying cars in my lifetime. I have to dodge idiot drivers daily in two dimensions. I’m not all that eager to add a third.

I love Town Cars. Have an ‘05. I love wagons. I like this thing and dont even hate the F150 taillights. The one thing that I cannot get past is the sagging air suspension. Fix it or remove it - GAAAAH!

Even the worst coil pack to get to on the 4.6 is far easier than just about anything on the back side of a transverse V6.

Haha, couple months ago we bought an ex-livery 2005 Town Car L as a spare/road trip car. I now tell people that if my wife ever kicks me out the only thing I’m taking is the Clown Car because that thing is larger than most studio apartments.

Cars like this show what can happen from years of not wearing a respirator when painting and/or sanding.

I do like the ‘03-up much better.  I have an ‘05 and if the one on CL was based on this gen instead I would seriously be looking at it.

Hyundai (along with just about every manufacturer) publishes repair manuals to fix the car mechanically. Depending on the manufacturer, repair information on how to fix a collision-damaged vehicle is either contained within that mechanical repair manual or within a separate “Body Repair Manual”. At 122K, it’s going to need head gaskets any day now. Single, shallow hit on the CP.

Just the (wing) tip...
