Except the scene where the photo of Hitler is being shot. It feels at odds with the style of the rest of the movie and the reversed footage can't help but feel a little silly.

I would have liked it better if Chick got to stay in heaven and everyone is nice to him but so many of them are people he hated in life that he can't take it. Then it's that Chick is making his own Hell in Heaven, which feels more satisfying than the comic's artist being as petty as Chick was.

It might be if someone else were driving it, but there's something about the casual, roundabout way the guy walks over, starts the engine, then lays down that undoes it. It's too complicated to read as someone mindlessly and disturbingly killing themselves. People needed to kill themselves in more immediate, direct

The opening to The Twilight Zone Movie might be scary if they cut away immediately after it's revealed Dan Aykroyd is a monster. Instead he reaches over and shakes Albert Brooks and it's awkward and silly.

There has to be something else. No way Landis has real clout anymore since the biggest thing he made in the past ten years was that not-very-good Burke & Hare flop.

I buy it because there are plenty of people who go "it's not about money" when to a large extent it really is. Guy gives off that vibe to me.
