"Seems obligatory" I believe is what the Rules of The Internet dictate I write here.

I spoke to the head designer of Nissan in Europe a while back and he said they made about 8% across the business, which is considered good (apparently) for a mainstream manufacturer. Furthermore, the margins at the bottom of the range are much tighter, so I would think Honda would be lucky to be making anywhere near

You are correct sir.

Ex-Chancellor of Germany Helmut Kohl, who was in charge from 1982 until 1998.

Frank Stephenson only tweaked the design. Most of it was already set before he arrived, which explains the criticism from some quarters of the design. His contribution allegedly runs to the front and rear ends.

Cars are bought on emotion, about how it makes you feel about yourself, and what you want it to say about you to the world around you.

And here in the UK it's okay to be out pretty much anywhere now, ironically. Worth remembering homosexuality was ILLEGAL in the UK until 1968 (I think).

Anthony Hopkins was inMission Impossible II, as Swanley.

Re: #1. The new Cadillacs come with an iPad to show you how to use the infotainment system, and there are dedicated staff to support buyers in getting the most out of the complicated systems on the car.

I think it's what happens when you have a sex wee.

Is it bad that I actually quite liked the movie?

30 US MPG works out to about 24 imperial. Pretty much any MkI or MkII Escort will easily get that, apart from the exotic Twin Cam or RS1600 models. I've owned a couple (a MkI 1100cc and a MkII RS2000) - brilliant fun, simple, durable blue collar fun but sadly way too expensive now for what they are.

Wow. Is a gay porn movie ever about to break out there!

On the downside they may want to start composting their own faeces and live in a yurt, develop a taste for lentil soup and worst of all, read The Guardian *shudder*.

Presumably if you were out of work you wouldn't take a government job then? The private sector won't create jobs purely out of goodwill, it will only do so out of necessity when it can't fulfil demand, which in turn demands constant growth. If nothing else the current crises have shown this to be unsustainable with

I'm pretty sure it's all still available from Aston Martin.

An idea one of my friends and I posited a while ago (before the Euro came into being and the EU expanded to include - let's say less economically developed countries...) was that the UK long term would be better off forming some sort of official alliance with North America - a sort of expansion of NAFTA if you will.

Yah, here in the UK they do. A lot. A Golf is frequently held up as being a classless car (i.e. it could be driven by HRH or someone working class) but the reality is VW's are horrifically middle class and considered premium by those with intelligence and taste, unlike say BMW's which are a bit gauche and 'new money'.
