They do it so you have an odd number of coins so if you have 10 coins and purchase this 1 coin skin now you have 9 and if you want to purchase something that is say 10 coins you need to spend a min of $5 real dollars to acquire the correct amount. Just mobile gacha game tactics 

Because they knew what they were doing... It may cost 1 coin, but since nothing is priced in a number not ending in 00, in effect it costs 100 coins.

If all other purchases are multiples of 10, and earned coins always come in multiples of 10, then the remaining 9 coins are rendered unusable. If it costs 1 coin and makes 9 coins worthless, then the skin essentially costs 10 coins.

When you can only buy coins at a minimum of $5, it does kind of suck. 

Wtf why wouldn’t they just give it away for free?! I get that perhaps there could be a technical reason they put something in the store (even if to track “purchase” metrics) instead of just giving it to everybody, but there should be no reason the system isn’t designed to allow free items.

I’m curious on why this skin is 1 currency. The skeptic in me thinks it will let Blizzard report higher in-game store usage next quarter, even if a lot were only for a one coin skin.
