Some say he knows two facts about ducks and they are both wrong...

There’s only been pictures of two so far...

Good write-up Robb, glad they finally put a much larger battery in it. My problem is PHEVs designed like this one are never very much fun in EV only mode in my experience. The Volt is the only PHEV I’ve driven with an EV mode that is really inspiring to drive. You say “acceleration from a stop in both hybrid and full

Expect to start seeing things like that next year. Unfortunately, the full-EV offerings with some fun will also be not super cheap as large batteries to provide decent ranges are still expensive at this point. For real fun EV price parity with hot hatches, I think we’ll need to wait another battery generation, which

Florida...? Florida.

What an excellent set of cars. I’d also add this to the list. They took so many risks with this car that almost nobody is willing to do these days, but the E (e?) is a bit of a return to form. Too bad we’re unlikely to experience it in the US.

The pouch vs non-pouch debate is really neither here nor there. It’s the chemistry and effectiveness of the cooling system (for repeated runs, most can do 1 or 2 launches no problem) that really matter for that sort of thing. Tesla uses a chemistry with a higher power density than the standard Bolt or Kia LG pack,

Sorry, this is not a plug-in hybrid, just a normal “full hybrid”, so no government incentives available to lower the price.

Looks like they’re all EVs and in the video the guy said something about an Electric (transferred?) Subaru... but an eclectic electric group indeed...

The Bolt does not precondition the battery unless you have it set for a scheduled or immediate remote start, unfortunately.

Still daily mine! But no more wagons...

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ To each his own, I prefer the Niro EV interior to the swath of beige inside the Kona!

Oh! Does the US version come with water cooled or air cooled battery? Heat pump available? I think it’s air and no heat pump unlike what’s available in EU, but haven’t gotten a confirmation.

It’s actually better than the PHEV version, probably the same as the FHEV. Just sat in and compared them at the auto show as they were parked right next to each other. I do think you lose a bit of rear foot space as the floor in the back seat is higher.

Rear legroom and boot space are both quite a bit larger. I personally like the interior more as well, but that’s up to you!

I’m sure we’ll get it, but how’s it handle and can you have a bit of fun with it?

I know they were supposed to produce a couple of dozen at least, but I never heard if they actually did. I am pretty sure the blue and Nvidia cars were actually the same one with a wrap...

You know how many of these they have made?

Is this the first Mustang with a rotary shifter?

Same situation, I’m at ~26k mi a year and this would do great for my commute. Now it depends, I can get the current one (fully loaded) for ~$27k and if this was the same price that would be awesome, but I fully expect it’ll be 5-7k more which makes it more difficult. We’ll see where the options packages balance out.
