I agree with you 100%, though I’d also like to throw liftback in there... as many people like the look of the sedan over hatch. That way it can look like a sedan but still have a lot of the usefulness of a hatch!

This is actually a weight savings used in the business. It’s a legitimate way to save weight with (otherwise) near zero customer impact. (Cost savings as well!)
