Would have no effect on vehicle emissions as long as the vehicle remains in Park, I do believe. Unless you know something I don’t? Why would shift schedules change engine idle warm-up strategy?

Based on the two articles I’ve read, this is transmission software. AKA would have zero effect on emissions/fuel consumed if the vehicle remains in P/N.

I do stand corrected! Now if only it was more widely available...

Neutral: At What Point Will EVs Be Truly ‘Clean’?

Unlimited mileage, 8 year battery warranty on the cars they are currently selling. Not sure if there’s a degradation threshold say replace it when you’ve lost 20/50/75% of your usable range, but so far they seem to be replacing them under good will, not sure what will happen as more of their cars start to get older.

Tom, you did your math correctly, but you wrote your equation in the article wrong. Either don’t include the equation, or get it right!

Once it’s off line, who knows what happens with it... if gate code lets it out it ships haha

So I’ve got a Netgear N600 that I’ve had for about 4 years now, it delivers (according to internet speed tests) the full ~60 mbsp download to my computer in all corners of my house. Coverage is good, and I’ve never had any reliability issues with it. I know that AC is much, much faster, but am I really going to notice

CA law currently requires a driver in autonomous vehicles, which is why the driver is in the vehicle at this point (also very incomplete software). My understanding of what Tesla says they will do is that when the final version is released, Tesla will claim responsibility for accidents, and the driver will be

And this is why it took me so long to find my 06 LGT wagon... most of them either aren’t in great shape or the people know how rare their car is and it’s way overpriced. Do love the one I found, though! As much as I want this to be NP, it’s probably about 5k above what it should be.

Remember (if you ever knew) the way EPA fuel economy for 2017 is calculated has changed slightly, which will likely knock many ratings down 1 or 2 mpg on the highway.

Post from Faraway Future clued me in to what the circles on top probably are: lidar.

I own this exact wire stripper from Amazon purchased over a year ago, been great to me and have done well over a thousand strips with no issues!

Only half the Fusions are made in Mexico, the other half is made in Flat Rock, MI. Agree, though, every MK7 I’ve been in has had pretty fabulous quality, no sarcasm!

I, too, have that fear. I’m quite interested in this car, but I’m not sure how happy I’ll be with the stripped down version, and not sure I can afford one with the gizmos I want!

Because so far they are the only 2 long range sub 40k EVs ever announced...

PSA 2: The cables will actually both be orange. Still, only a good idea if it’s the last idea you ever want to have.

It’s a reasonable question why there’s different types of coolant, and the answer is because the batteries, control electronics, and motor all have different cooling loops. Why they have different cooling loops? I have no idea why Toyota decided to do that... haha

I completely agree, though, pretty much all the regular

Most EVs still have tranny fluid, too! And radiators, sometimes even several types of coolant to be changed. (Rav4 EV has 3 different colors) And a cabin filter that’s usually harder to do than the intake filter anyway...

Nice, UCD grad here, I regularly fly back to CA from Detroit but generally don’t pony up the extra money to fly to Sacramento over SFO partially because BART takes me to about 10 minutes from my parents house, but have to wholeheartedly agree that SMF is a much much better choice!
