“Some of them...hate “liberals” so much that anything that upsets them is worth supporting”

Oh, the old AV Club...

Don’t sleep on FilePile.

That’s fair. It was just a funny exchange.

My first was FFVI. Translation wasn’t the best, but the characters and story are wonderful.

Whoa, chill. Just saying we shouldn’t buy in to the government’s theory that what is obviously a joke somehow creates real danger. There are certainly things that are dangerous and irresponsible to say, and I like the line being one drawn with reality in mind.

“ever-changing politically correct hypersensitivities”

Comment: suggests country should “drop the politically-charged division.”

I agree with the first three sentences—dude just got put onto a list for an unfunny joke.

Well, “This interview has been edited for clarity and length.”

Nah, it counts.

Which is great, except that they will grow up as mannered outcasts in a brutish, selfish world.

Lady Dynamite was terrific. It was very funny, and was more like Arrested Development than than season 4 was.  I don’t know if it is essential TV, but it is well worth watching.

Yeah, engaging with actual argument does tend to take the fun out of trolling. Good day.

Again, language is important. “The deplatforming of speakers is censorship.” You carefully edited out who does the deplatforming. That matters. The federally-funded university could not—and did not—deny Milo the platform. Rioters did.

Um. This story is about the Missouri State Fair firing a rodeo clown. It is a dumb thing to fire someone for, but it is not an example of the AV Club (or any media outlet) being hypocritical.

Language is important. “The left” has not censored “scores” (i.e. 40+) of speeches since the election. It is not “censorship”—i.e. governmental suppression of speech—when a corporation like Twitter revokes an account. Nor is it “censorship” when “activists” disrupt speeches (though, I suppose it might be if the

Calling morons morons is not “censorship.”
