I don’t think OP, nor any critically-thinking person, is saying masculinity itself is “toxic.” Nor is anyone saying “stoicism” is a toxic trait (it can be a very good trait, and, of course, it is not a trait limited to men). There is nothing wrong with masculinity, including stoicism.

In theory, I agree with the concept of limiting what SNAP can buy. It rightfully doesn’t pay for cigarettes. For the same reason, it shouldn’t pay for soda. Food assistance should be about food, and obesity and malnutrition are epidemics.
