The SUVs (and trucks) seems to be holding up pretty well. The Tacoma redesign was ok, and honestly I think the new RAV4 looks ok as well.

The current 4Runner is one of the only good looking cars Toyota sells. I’m worried about how their current design direction is going to affect that.
Dude. Don’t even bother with the antiquated 4 runners... they are way overpriced for what you get... i was even sad test driving the new lexus gx460. I may have had a flash back to 2005 while it chopped down the service road and i was looking at the dash. If you were gonna spring for the offroady TRD or want to tow the…
I have a ‘14 Limited and man, if you can get over the completely terrible gas mileage, and ancient 5 speed auto, it’s a bulletproof way to get around anywhere you need to go. I bought it pretty much brand new, and have had absolutely nothing go wrong, brakes at 40K, routine oil changes, that’s it.
we sell a decent enough number of them. its not a sales leader by any stretch, kind of a niche market vehicle, but it sells better than the compass and renegade do at my store, by quite a margin.
lol this was my first thought when I saw the title. What covid economy?
Haha, yeah. The blandness of the Nissan VG engine is kind of a boon when “want to keep it alive without spending a lot of money” becomes a priority.
Rich people still doing great, everyone.
Like this?
I know this isn’t very Jalop of me (brown manual diesel wagon and all), but why the F would anyone buy a diesel these days unless whatever country they are in heavily subsidized diesel fuel? If you want economical (and therefore you mostly drive with a light right foot), you can get a 1.5L turbo four engine that still…
To be fair, our CJ-7 spent relatively little time rock crawling, and it was a working Jeep. Plowing, some light bulldozer work, driving unimproved ‘roads’, towing things, hauling hay, and giving a double middle finger to snow were more likely actions than wandering out rock crawling.
Off-idle torque in off-roading situations is nice. V8 FTW
Its ok the Bronco didn’t debut with a V8. I’ll still want one after the first year model gets the bugs worked out and I’m of the camp that the V8 is not going to be with us much longer.
“Red truck good, blue truck bad. Vote red truck.”
I am not sure what this means, but can we get some more Changli videos?
So, not one and threepence, or even a bob then?
I wish they had package pricing. I reserved a base 2 door, and plan on getting the Sasquatch package, but something tells me it’ll be like $10,000 extra. And yes, it will be a manual. I put my money where the internet’s mouth is for new car purchases :)
Biodiesel cause it smell like a steakfry.
I’ve covered that topic several times about not overextending yourself - https://jalopnik.com/stop-overbuying-your-cars-1829751357
Dave Ramsey is a stinking pile of shit and his show is for entertainment value only. He peddles basic financial advice like “spend less than you make” and has very limited understanding of financial planning. Ramsey works the church crowd because some churches get a kickback on fees. He is a quasi-televangelist. I’d…
