If it works then... is it dumb?

I don’t even care anymore.  Mid-engine n/a V8 in the back and not 6 figures was the wishlist, and Santa delivered.

I’m still so bitter none of the big 3 made any attempt to make electric trucks until very recently.

New ideas for the next time I test drive an SUV...

This was the correct swap - something that started life with a real VTEC head.

It’s strangely humbling to see the front of an F50 smashed up. You pause and go “Yup, that’s what all cars look like when they’re broken.” Just a mess of fiber glass, plastic, metal... 

This is amazing.

“People will have to adapt” is not a very good solution because this requires a tremendous amount of re-training and re-education and experience gathering, which simply won’t happen (largely because nobody wants to pay for it).

I can’t wait to scoop up cheap 4-cylinder models in 15 years when I can afford them.

This has been the case for all of BMW’s turbo I6s since the N54. They’ve been making far more torque than they’re rated - and you can certainly feel it. BMW’s engine rating is like their model names - the numbers mean nothing now.

I’ve heard from friends who owned them that those factory turbo Miatas are phenomenal.  That price seems spot-on, especially for the condition.  

We must go bigger.
