The book is actually a graphic novel, from what I remember it's a quick read and it's mostly more of an action story without any actual meditation on the nature of violence and if you can ever escape your past misdeeds. I don't remember if it includes uncomfortable looking staircase sex.

One of the few movies where I would say without reservation that the film is vastly superior to the book.

I definitely agree with Robyn being a terrible part of Jessica Jones. I don't know if it was mostly bad writing or a bad performance or an equal combination of the two, but whenever she was on screen she just destroyed the show for me. I found her character to be less realistic than the people with super powers.
