Wow. A red Corolla S.

Cool story:

Still prefer the E24 in terms of big 80's German coupes, but yea, that big Merc is pretty slick.

We all know how hard it is to kill a Toyota truck, and this one is a fine example of the breed with low km's and little or no visible rust but...it's been seriously overpriced, as if the hombre who's selling it thought, "Heh, I know those Gringos love their old Toyota trucks, they'll pay anything for this one!"

I know what Lincoln needs to do to revitalize the brand!

The Integra.

What I really want to know is, how many cup holders does it have?

I was eleven years old in 1986, and let me tell you, that car was exciting (to my child-like mind).

They're buying SUV's for aspirational reasons, same as most everybody else.

Designer - "So, what do you want in a car?"

What happens? Apparently, a grown man will scream like a little girl.

I wrote up a list of the Worst Cars of the 1980's a while back on Oppo, and the Cimmaron took the number one spot. Nuff said?

It's no Shinano, but the "not techincally an aircraft carrier" will not reassure the Chinese, as the Izumo could be used to land troops on the disputed islands (provided, of course, that the SDF could assure some level of air/sea dominance, without counting on the USN).

Guards Red, by the way, is in reference to the Household Guard regiments of the British Army, so your 'en garde' fencing reference kinda falls flat. A rare miss for you, Graverobber, since your intros are usually funny and spot-on.

You gotta wonder what goes through the minds of the test drivers when they drive something like this:

As a man with discriminating tastes, I feel that a carbon fiber cup holder is insufficiently luxurious. How much for a solid gold unit, with diamond inlay?

Towman, you need to start writing articles and stories over on OppositeLock, and if they're as interesting as your two anecdotes above, they'll likely get posted to the main Jalopnik page.

It would seem (according to a friend who was there) that Aqua Man here saw the flooded underpass - and several abandoned cars deeper in the tunnel - and decided to drive in anyway.
