It looks like it just drove out of a time warp. And an SC to boot. Wowzers.

I’d like to see them eat the other half of the humble pie they’ve baked themselves.

I love the Herc because its one of those timeless designs that is so close to perfect, there’s no real point in trying to re-invent the wheel.

Ya, surely it has to mount in the trunk, sneaking the cables up the C pillar?

The Aston is more my style, but the comparative ease of maintaining the Mustang makes me favor it.

The appearance of the buyer’s guide is disturbing. Even more disturbing is they seem to be embarrassed about this series, the author is “Jalopnik Staff”. Some credit must be due, however. When they reviewed the Jeep Compass I half expected them to write it as if FCA PR was looking over their shoulder, but they did Read more

Insurance rates vary so much I can’t answer that question, but it is true, generally speaking, a 4-door is cheaper to insure than a 2-door. But other factors, like (obviously) your driving record, your neighborhood (fraud rates, theft rates), the safety rating of the car (less medical payouts for them) and the Read more

So you want something reliable and cheap to insure with a stick in the $5k range?

Get a Honda or Acura of some type. Honda manuals are some of the best in the business. Civic Si, Accord V6, Acura TSX.

So that’s why many BMW’s don’t signal. The signal fluid pump breaks easily due to cheap plastic and the owners don’t bother to fix it, because its a $1400 part, not including labor.

For a moment I was like, “WTF kind of shifter is that?” And then I saw the tell-tale 12 Volt plug and the air direction panel. “Oh,” I said, “Volvo. Of course.”

They always feel they have to do things differently.

Well, one can imagine somebody saying the same thing about Citroen in the 1960s. “I prefer a solid axle and leaf springs over this fancy Frenchie SLS.”
