I just assume everything out of his mouth or fingers is a lie. It saves time and effort.

This is my only experience with VS. It was about seven years ago, I needed a bra and for some reason thought VS might be a place to try rather than my standard department store visit. Went to ask for something simple, underwire and unlined, and she took me to the very back corner of the store and offered up one single

It’s incredibly revealing, sometimes, what someone thinks is funny and what they say out loud in front of strangers. Most normal people wouldn’t think of this as something even remotely joke-worthy.

I especially like how the entire trollish comment is predicated on some bizarre “Maxine Waters isn’t smart” conclusion, which...how concentrated is that kool-aid, there, Yank? It seems to be disrupting some synapse function.

This is so infuriating. I’m glad she’s getting help to fund some of these necessities for safety and livelihood, but it really pisses me off that any of it is necessary.

The timing alone does suggest this was planned for post-election, thus implying there definitely is a ground strategy for how they hope to proceed at maximum benefit for themselves.

That’s a good point, because I certainly do not. I wish the article mentioned a bit more about Whitaker, although perhaps there’s a forthcoming article that will explain the potential fallout in more detail.

Can we count this as an election day win?

I would love it if this election ended with a big bootprint on Dino’s backside, either metaphorical or actual.

I fully believe he’s convinced himself (in no small part because of the yes-people he surrounds himself with) that he can, and has, made this country into the United Empire of Trump where whatever he says automatically passes into law.

This is the first year I saw the No Postage thing in WA state - our situation was similar in that the post office would take it without postage, but didn’t advertise it, and I never trusted that. I used to walk my ballot to the box every time. As you mention, not everyone has that option, and I’m positive it makes a

Who’s telling them how to live their lives? Nobody’s showing up on her doorstep forcing her to give the ring back, we’re a bunch of random internet commenters who (in general) disapprove for a variety of reasons.

Came here to say this. It’s fantastic that so many people are turning out to vote and encouraging others to vote, including continuing to stand in line for hours, but the lines are definitely a barrier to voting and a sign that the infrastructure is insufficient.

Wow. She was probably calculating how much time she was wasting even as she was saying yes.

I fully admit I’m not clicking on many of the articles on site today. I’m already dealing with enough low-level election anxiety that I don’t want to add to it with more low-level election panic that characterizes most of the posts Im seeing today.

This all day. I’m in Washington State and it’s the same way here. The ballot this year had a large section on the front proclaiming “NO POSTAGE NEEDED!” It’s literally the easiest thing to do and it happens by electing officials who will pass it into law.

Thank you for a post explaining what’s going on! I know there are more than a few sites that might have just done a clean sweep with no explanation, but it’s nice to know and understand the whys of it.

It’s Seattle, which I see from the thread you’re already looking at (at least the PNW)! Bellingham is neat, it’s smaller but it’s a college town so there’s a bit of vibrancy. Thing is for both the PNW and Colorado, the further you go out from the big cities, the redder/more conservative it tends to get. Your

You may want to also search for “affordable cost of living”. My city pretty much checks all those boxes, but it’s pricing out nearly everybody.

“It was never my intention to” = “Okay so I did it but I’m not sorry for it, or at least not willing to say sorry because I still fully believe I’m right.”
