This is so infuriating. I’m glad she’s getting help to fund some of these necessities for safety and livelihood, but it really pisses me off that any of it is necessary.

Came here to say this. It’s fantastic that so many people are turning out to vote and encouraging others to vote, including continuing to stand in line for hours, but the lines are definitely a barrier to voting and a sign that the infrastructure is insufficient.

I fully admit I’m not clicking on many of the articles on site today. I’m already dealing with enough low-level election anxiety that I don’t want to add to it with more low-level election panic that characterizes most of the posts I’m seeing today.

This all day. I’m in Washington State and it’s the same way here. The ballot this year had a large section on the front proclaiming “NO POSTAGE NEEDED!” It’s literally the easiest thing to do and it happens by electing officials who will pass it into law.
