“We took somebody’s a man’s word for it..”
“We took somebody’s a man’s word for it..”
That’s it, exactly. It’s coming from a place of empathy rather than a place of demand.
It’s asking the women in your life, “What do you need?” instead of “What should I do?”
Indeed.
Fantastic article, thanks for linking!
For years I didn’t realize that what I regularly suffered were even migraines. I just called them “sinus headaches” to differentiate them from regular headaches because for me, that’s the general area the pain first presents, then it it migrates. As soon as it centers in one particular area and starts pulsing I know…
Am I the only one that’s actually somewhat shocked that we’re still seeing professional and personal ramifications actually happen as a result of these predatory behaviors? Part of me thought this would have ended with Weinstein and the rest of these men would be excused and basically societally forgiven, the way it’s…
Yup. Anyone who relies on that many silencing and distracting techniques in their statement has something to hide. The terrible thing is, I bet it’s worked for him before.

Here. You’re explaining away these violations, and that’s what they are, by…
Reading your comments in this thread, I’m seeing nothing but “boys will be boys”. “Men will be men.” “They can’t help themselves, poor men.”
I got really excited over the Ms. Frizzle costume until I realized who was wearing it.
Heeellllllll no.
Me: *scrolling, scrolling* Okay, cute, yeah. Oh one more? Okay.
“I thought I was the only one.”
I was waiting for this post. <3
