When the study can conclusively separate “eating alone” from “when people eat alone they eat garbage” which could do far more to affect health than whether or not you’re staring at someone across a table, then I’ll be more concerned about this.

The small shred of a silver lining I can find in this is that “you responded immediately, sir” is not a “yes” to the question actually posed.
Why not? A good portion of the reason microagressions happen is because no one (that they will listen to) stops and says “hey man, not cool.”

One issue I’ve found that often comes around to bite me back is that I overexplain things in order to convey my thought processes, and more often than not the attempt muddies the waters completely.

I was nodding through pretty much this whole list. Was also about to suggest Cabin in the Woods for those who do okay with gore and scares if it’s well-leavened with excellent humor.
I’m also in this boat and I thoroughly enjoyed “The Frighteners” back in the day. Not sure how well it’s aged now, though.
As one of the posters answered me already, a den is the smallest building block of scouts, for lack of a better phrase. It’s the small local group of less than ten kids, led by local leaders, often someone’s parent(s).
