I’m embarrassed to admit I didn’t get the Chris P. Bacon joke until the very last line of the article.

You and I have much the same story. *twinsies high fives* Exactly, especially since today’s medicine has advanced quite a bit since our start, and babies a lot younger and smaller are thriving. This baby would have been fine if she’d just had medical care. It’s so heartbreaking.

Oh, I see. It’s mostly through family anecdotes, so it’s not all that scientific, but my understanding is that at some point in time I was on 100% oxygen (or whatever the actual mix is that is the maximum allowed oxygen). I don’t know for how long - it must not have been for that long before they were able to adjust

The only vision issue I have is nearsightedness and an astigmatism, both of which one or both of my parents also have so I attribute that to genetics, and not necessarily prematurity. I lucked out there.

So much this. I was as big as Ginnifer when I came out (literally, almost exactly the same in every stat) and I spent a full month in the hospital just finishing baking. Even then, on full oxygen, I was not doing well. I would not have survived out of the hospital.

I’m glad you’ve figured out what you need, too! I enjoy hearing how people aren’t actually in pain any longer after finding the treatment that works for them. Sounds like you found a fantastic one.

It was basically a misdiagnosis. I had a muscular issue, but for more than half a decade and about that many doctors, it was assumed to be a skeletal issue. I went through back braces, cortisone shots, chiropractic, etc, all of which didn’t really work (shocker) until one hero doc figured it out and it’s well managed

Trainer.

No.

Me too, wholeheartedly.

I’m delighted with this, and extra delighted Patty is staying on for WW2 when (and it’s going to be when, shut up) it comes around.

“The problem is that nobody cares about my boner!” he whined.

At first glance I thought these were before and after pictures of the same guy.

Oh cool! I’ll have to go watch again and see if I can spot them.

Not so much plot holes as pacing and characterization issues, really. I wasn’t sure how to say that in so many words without spoiling everything. In short, I feel fleshing out a lot of “and time passed” moments with a bit more explanation would have helped - like, it took one night to get to London? Steam ships don’t

For my part (maybe it’s because I’m paying attention more, now), right after I had the thought of “awesome, look how many Amazons have darker faces”, I realized I couldn’t find one Asian face. Once I noticed that I couldn’t stop noticing.

I love this story so much.

Not only praying for it, but apparently actively working to bring it on.

Matt Viser, really? That should read “Joining NY, CA and WA in the US Climate Alliance”.
