When I was 13, there was little to no distinction between Korn, Lip Bizkid, Rage, and System of A Down. I loved them all. Looking back it is interesting to understand how completely different they are, and only really superficially related at all.

When my friend got the very first Android phone I was amused with the text-to-speech feature and typed in “My name is kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiid. Kid Rock.” with enough i’s that the word “kid” dragged on for like 15 seconds, in a beautiful robotic voice. 

The finest example being their initial pissant whining review of Belle & Sebastien’s If Your’e Feeling Sinister where they gave it like 0.8/10 but later decided it was one of the best albums of the decade.

N2gether Now is a genuinely good Method Man track if you excise the Durst bits.

I always wanted to like Primus more than I actually did. I appreciated their weirdness and virtuosity, but their music always seemed a little further toward Residents and Zappa weirdo noodling than to anything genuinely heavy and rockin’.

I don’t think it has transitioned well to the format of a streaming show, and I think you’re on to something. It has also really bothered me that they still bleep profanity. That’s only funny on broadcast TV. Streaming TV doesn’t get censored...

The gay panic with Gob and George was already bothering me... like who the fuck thinks that’s a funny storyline in 20 fucking 18?

I got about 2 episodes into the new season and gave up. It’s just so... boring. The plot is so convoluted and half of it is recapping the convoluted and confusing shit from the previous Netflix season. It doesn’t flow like it used to.

The same thing happened to Daisey Ridley after Force Awakens came out, too.

Every Star Wars account I follow on Instagram has someone say something about “don’t ram that SJW bullshit down real fans throats” or some bullshit on EVERY single post. How does so-called “social justice warrior” even apply to Star Wars?? Because they have a woman and a black person now??

One problem is that movies like that are made by people like Kevin Smith, and they suck. When studios deliberately try to cater to fanboy expectations, those movies also suck.
