Well review bombing or legit bad reviews? It isn’t all that great. It put it on the low end of the scale on these live action Disney remakes. If were to rate it I’d give it 5 out 10. Its far too long - the kids were restless and got bored by the end. Its all dark - also not great for kids movies. And it sort feels…

This movie checks all the Republican-rage checkmarks, especially since Ariel is played by a black person.

Let me provide you a review of all Disney live action remakes based on cartoons that can cover any past and future projects: Mediocre.

Just read actual reviews by movie critics or even your favorite Youtube streamer. Still likely a better gauge than randos posting 0 ratings on Metacritic and Rotten Tomatoes.

If Conservatives spent the same amount of time hating on everyone and everything, and spent it improving their own lives they wouldn’t be so bitter and angry all the time.

There is a wealth of African (and Asian, and Middle Eastern, and South American, and even Eastern European) folklore that Disney could plunder to make new movies to appeal to a wider audience.  There’s no need to re-make any of their previous tales.
