Why did ULA withdraw their bid? As the incumbent, they’d likely have an advantage to securing the contract.

The past year-and-a-half has really shown how easily people can be confused by statistics and how bad many are at risk assessment. The ones that get the most attention are those who underreact to risk (like those who a year ago claimed that Covid was no more dangerous than the flu when the data showed it to be far…
That line rubbed me the wrong way, too.
I’ll nominate any beverage, specifically those small plastic barrels with the foil tops that we called “Little Hugs” or “Huggies” that were filled with a Kool-Aid-like drink. Do these still exist? I haven’t seen them in years, but I am long since out of their target demographic.
You are correct on all of your points. Phishing scammers thrive on people taking mental shortcuts and not thinking things through. Attempting to combat them with more mental shortcuts may work in some cases, but ultimately vigilance is what’s needed.
Team smashburger here. While a super thicc burger can be very photogenic, I find that a skinny patty offers up a better balance of meat / bun / toppings so that none are overpowering the others. Also I am one of those heathens who doesn’t like any pink showing on the inside of my burgers, so smashburgers are easier…

The concept of living full-time on a ship isn’t that crazy — some retirees do just that as an alternative to an assisted living community (If you don’t need special medical care, the amenities of a cruise ship like meals, laundry service, and housekeeping are comparable to those provided in an assisted living…
I am not a parent, but I was curious about whether some of the tips in this article might apply to the broader world, and they certainly do!
Oh yeah, I love the CTS coupe! One of my neighbors has a -V, and it’s a rad machine. I’m not even big into the super high power stuff (the V6 would be more than enough for me), but that exhaust note is pretty sweet. And I’m one of those weirdos who likes its unique hunchback looks.
I’m pretty sure I’ve never had cream of mushroom soup straight up in my life, but I always keep a few cans of it in the pantry for making other things.
I recall hearing the same story, usually told and retold by coworkers (sometimes with disdain, sometimes with admiration). I’ve never seen the full details, though, and I’d love to read a fact-based account of the situation.
I like the ELR because I like the idea of the “personal luxury coupe” and the electric range will get me to work and back. They were for sale when I bought my current daily driver, but they were priced WAY too high when new. I’ve been eyeing them on the used market, and they are much more affordable now (with the…
Are these “celebrity” meals just a replacement for the numbered meals? (say, they’re now calling the #4 “The Nelly”)
I’m replying to an old comment because the article was updated and reposted, and this is the first I saw it.
Gotta add extra words and syllables in order to sound more important!
I am not familiar with that book, but let me just say that it has a delightfully clever title!
That is a very nice car, and your Iowan nephew should be proud of his work!
I don’t know whether the price is fair on this, but I just came here to say that Shelby Cobras always looked terrified to me — like they can’t believe they have all that power under their tiny hoods!
