Seriously, the Watchmen score has been on in my office non-stop, and brilliant as though I understand it to be, the Social Network’s has never really tracked with me. I think honestly that this was just a need on the part of the writer to give themselves some edge.

Considering their other shows include American Idol, American Juniors, American Inventor, America’s Got Talent and The Next Great American Band, I think Fremantle may have fundamentally misunderstood what American Gods is about.

I loved the Lakeside section of the book, but adapting that into a full season of the tv show is hilariously misguided.

Thought this was pretty disappointing. I almost lost interest a few times while watching, particularly during the Kuiili (Nick Nolte) scenes, which were an utter snooze. At a scant 40 minutes, boy does this thing plod in spots.

Man, what an episode. There’s so much to say. They foreshadow Gina’s freakout nicely in her trailer, where she keeps idly rubbing her neck as she and the director discuss dangerous stunts. It’s heartbreaking watching her have to justify that she’s not being unreasonable even though that might be how she appears.
