Agree with those points, but will add that many many people live with very little snow, but ski regularly. So, what...switch tires twice a month to go ski? Wear down your snow tires by doing most of your driving on warm, clean roads? Should my daughter stash her summer tires in her dorm room?

We have a 2017 and our fuel mileage is actually incredible. I’d say lifetime average of 28 miles per gallon, mixed city and highway. But our city isn’t much of a city, and we spend a lot of time driving in the mountains, which always gives us better mileage. Never worse than mid 20's though. 

My wife has an XT, and we found ourselves next to each other at a red light, me in my GTI. My story is I was distracted by her beauty and she got off the line quicker. That’s how I remember it.
