I TOLD my dad to buy one of these, but he couldn’t drive a manual. He got the AMC Concord instead. Right there tells you all you need to know about my family.

I can only imagine that if I had a fukton of $...enough to own barn and $12000 was nothing, I MIGHT consider buying this car, taking it to the barn and burying this turd behind it.

Someday people will be nostalgic for the Routan. No, I’m kidding.

Maybe someday I’ll think of something stupid to get me on the internet.

Just one of many, many cars I’ve wanted to own but haven’t. My brother in law had one he’d owned three separate times, and the final time he sold it he forgot that I was interested. :|

You’ve convinced me that I made the right decision not pursuing a career in motorsports, as this sounds like hell. I’m much happier now with my “click the mouse” sort of job.

That fixed my day. Having to swing the back end around to make a tight turn, thusly^^, is why I stopped watching F1 (not completely stopped) and started watching WRC. Because it’s a driving style that can only be described as “James Bond”.

Honestly, how am I supposed to answer these surveys...I took my car for an oil change at a place that changes oil. Doing your job doesn’t make you “Truly Exceptional”.

I had a beautiful ‘85 Audi Coupe, but every time I took a right hand turn I heard a clunk in the door. Eventually the window regulator died and when I pulled it all apart I found a hammer stuck in the door. It was rusty, but a beautiful old hammer with a curved handle. I still have the hammer (I wish I had the car).

I was driving my old ‘84 Dodge Ram 50 on the interstate in Wyoming, and thought it would make a good picture to catch it right at 88,888 going 88mph. I gave it a mile to get it up to speed from around 65 and couldn’t manage it. I took the pic at about 86mph.

With pride I see myself connecting with that Honda driver. I could use a canoe, though.

EXACTLY! Up until this car, whenever I saw a Hyundai on the road my first thought was “Sorry about your credit”

I dated a girl once whose dad bought her a car. He said it was a red Mazda...turned out to be an orange Monza! Still makes me laugh

Sometimes a car I think is ugly will eventually grow on me and I’ll begin to like it. Or at least aspects of it. This one...that straight-on shot of the front looks pretty good. And the seats. Otherwise...(insert grimace here)

I was buying one of those a few years back. I set it end-up on the conveyor and went on unloading the basket. I heard a fairly loud boom and looked around, looked at the cashier with a “WTF was that” sort of look, didn’t see anything, and about 5 seconds later the lid landed right next to the Pillsbury can. A lot of

I agree with you completely on the small EV vs. the larger hybrids. I drive my GTI as a commuter, but that’s only a 10 mi round trip, so the Forester becomes the “family car”. There’s only three of us, but I can’t convince the others that the GTI is roomy enough to drive it with them very often. I think it’s roomy,

We have three cars...a sporty car (GTI), a utility car to take skiing/road trips (Forester), and a camper van for longer stuff. Of the three vehicles, which makes the most sense as a hybrid? For us, and I’m going to assume a million others, NOT the sporty car. I get 30+ mpg in the GTI, I don’t feel like I need

The SS looks like a really nice car. Its weird to me to find so many American cars I actually like these days...weird and welcome.

the size of the engine bay makes it difficult to bend-at-the-knees whilst lifting.

I really WANT to like the Bolt. I think the Volt is a gorgeous car, and despite the fact that it’s nothing that I want, I really want one, you know? I keep telling myself that the Bolt goes a step further than the Volt, but the bottom line is the Bolt looks like what you’d buy if you needed a car and your cousin
