I’ve come to the conclusion that, other than Logan, Shiv really is the worst Roy. She is a total sociopath and seems to lack any kind of soul. Roman has absolutely no incentive to present Mattson as anything other than a solid win that’s in the bank. Any doubts about Mattson’s reliability would reflect similarly poorly on Roman’s at this point. He’s not exactly an objective observer.

Matthew Macfadyen and Sarah Snook were just gutwrenchingly superb in this episode.
