Well, the movies Keanu is most well known for aren’t action movies. Movies like Speed, Point Break, The Matrix… aw, fuck it, Barsanti is totally wrong.

This seems like great news. Simone Missick is a treat and Walt Goggins is a treasure. Now maybe they’ll be on something I want to watch!

Agreed! Everyone was excellent on Legend Of Korra, the guy from Great News, the woman from Mad Men & Feud, the dude from Black Flag, the lady from House, Robin Williams’ kid… just amazing casting and voice work all around.

Blade Runner is great. I wouldn’t think of watching it as a chore. 

Apu introduced me to Paul. We’ve hung out a bunch. Get a few margaritas in him and he can make a sailor blush. He’s definitely not afraid to work blue. 

Since we’re keeping score, I taught Noel how to fight with lightsabers in 1989. Before that he couldn’t duel worth shite. Those were probably my lightsabers in his house. I forgot them there after a night of ecstasy and Duff beer. Ian Brown and Andy Rourke took me round to his place. Fun night.  

If you want something done, give it to a busy person, but if you want five seasons and a movie give it to someone out of work or sometimes Charlie Sheen > Michael Sheen.

Wow. That is hard to watch and hysterically funny.

Making a pilot with Ed Burns, Michael Imperioli and Michael Rappaport is a second shot. 

Apparently Withnail And I, a movie that I watched multiple times and think is very funny. 

I get it. It’s funny, but the quote is “That’ll do pig. That’ll do.”

I spent Friday night and most of Saturday hanging out with friends. We’re all fully vaccinated and we were outside. It was magnificent.

Oh yeah, agreed. The Kingkiller Chronicles series could easily go very very badly. The books are somewhat wry, while the main character is naive in many ways and worldly in other ways, but mostly he’s very earnest. Also the story is a tragedy. It’s definitely a tightrope to walk. When originally announced the series…

Well, I’m referring to when the series was originally announced back in 2017. And even while disparaging the idea, you’re comparing it to GoT, so...

Thanks Danette. I wish you were doing weekly recaps. I’ll give the show a try. I read the first two books in the series, but they were too “teen love affair” for me. The series sounds like it expands on the books in interesting ways.

It should star President Trump. Fauci and the rest should bite the bullet and start referring to the vaccines as the Trump vaccines. The first shot could be the Don Jr. jab. Getting a second shot could be the full Melania. And all us Dems should be sad as we give him credit.

I finally watched Patriot. I don’t know what my problem was. 20-30 commenters on here have recommended it over the years, but for some reason I just never felt interested. Needless to say, I am an idiot. Patriot is excellent.
