I just realized another nice thing about Covid. Being trapped in my house means I haven’t been to a doctor’s office or any place where I would see daytime television. I didn’t even know this show was still on.

Da 5 Bloods is substandard Spike Lee. It feels especially heavy handed compared to Judas and the Black Messiah, which weaves its history lessons seamlessly into the narrative. 

Clearly Jesse Plemons is the lead actor in Judas and the Black Messiah. Kidding. It’s a good question. 

Liberry is totes jealous of supposably. 

Her show is a traditional late night format, but without the interview. She’s funny and upbeat. The upbeat part is a godsend. This is how her show traditionally goes:

This video was fun, but Amber had a joke early in the show about super Nintendo World opening in Japan that cracked me up. 

Hmmm. When your very famous writing partner, band mate and frenemy’s most famous solo song is called Imagine, it’s a little weird to call your album Paul McCartney III Imagined.

And $30!! Which I guess I should have known, but I missed that it was an additional fee. It’s $65 a year for the rest of Disney+, so that’s a big add on. 

I watched two movies. Judas And The Black Messiah and Nomadland.

The Lost Room was very good, but I believe it was always intended as a mini-series. 

If this was 15 years ago, sure, I would agree with you (but 15 years ago we probably would have referenced George Clooney).

I agree with slow and mundane. I did not like the movie. I found it to be one note and tiresome, except for the HR meeting. Even in a weak year for movies I don’t put it in my top ten. It’s possible that if it had come out before the Me Too movement and the Harvey Weinstein scandal, it would’ve been interesting, but…

I watched WW84 which was awful. WB thinks it was a huge hit. I wish JL was being released into the theaters so that it could tank properly. I worry so many people are going to hate watch it or be curious about it and watch a bit that WB will think it has a huge hit. 

Zack Snyder’s constipation is almost cured and soon AV Club will move on from what I can only assume will be an epic turd. I look forward to that day.
