Titanfall 2's campaign is just incredible for me. The level design and the titan battles is just so epic. Plus calling down titanfall in multiplayer never ever gets old.

I initially had my doubts about Titanfall 2, but it turned out to be a great game. That time shift level was truly amazing, and the smooth traversal system was icing on the cake.

Twin Snakes is my preferred version of MGS. Even the ridiculous cutscenes fit the ridiculous series, especially in post-Revengeance era.

I liked Twin Snakes as someone that found it difficult to go back and replay MGS1 after playing MGS2 and especially 3. Being able to go into a first person perspective really changed how those games played for me, and I found navigating the environment to be a bit unwieldy when I popped MGS1 into my PS2. A modern

Such a fantastic game. If you’re wondering why people were willing to give Silicon Knights an endless pass despite making nothing of note for most of the aughts*, play this game.

A lot of people bemoan the western-developed SH games, and while most of them are worth the heavy criticism, this one stands with the best. At the time not a lot of SH fans appreciated it but I’m glad people have warmed up to this chilling game over the years.

Ocarina has great dungeons that trump any one room in Prime, but Prime’s room design, in general, is unbeatable. Ocarina has better bosses. I like Prime more, but Ocarina is probably the better game with better high

Jason, I just picked up my first JRPG, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered for the PS4. Was this a wise decision to make this my first foray into the world of waifus and story telling?

Gawker Media (RIP) used to have a policy that anyone who had been here for four years got to take a four-week sabbatical. I’m using mine to go write a book. Also to travel to a bunch of game studios for the purpose of writing that book. I’ll be talking about it (aka shilling it) on Kotaku next year closer to release,

Games are iterative. The game that introduces something isn’t necessarily the game that manages to popularize it. Very often, they’re not even the game that gets it “right.”

Nope, didn’t forget. Those movies didn’t have nearly the same cultural impact, he’s barely in them, and all three of them are godawful.
