I bought it Day 1 assuming it’d be great because it’s Meat Boy, despite seeing no reviews or pre-release hype. I played the first level a few times and haven’t touched it since.

Mario Strikers & Smash Melee/Brawl were the only two games I needed in college. An argument over one would lead into a match of the other.

I think it’s actually more insulting to give him a Mii costume amidst an FFVII content dump. Like, Square Enxi KNOWS people want it, they recognize it, and then give you a crumb.

I hate it as much as anyone, but Wii Fit made BANK. But yes, it’s complete bullshit. Geno would’ve actually been an interesting pick with a cool move set, and brought some good nostalgia back while shining a light on the franchise. Instead it’s another guy with a sword. I like Sephiroth no doubt, but they’ve really

I’ve been wanting Geno since 1999 before there were memes about this kind of shit.

Like any other media, game shouldn’t just be reviewed in a vacuum. Criticism requires context about the industry, the era this is being made in. That being said, I agree that too many reviews these days are bogged down by what other people are doing rather than whether the game itself is doing things well. Critics are

Every single article at Kotaku, Polygon, or Vice:

What part of feeling a visceral gut reaction to a horrific situation and applying it to one’s own story is egotistical? Druckmann grew up in Israel, he didn’t just watch it from the couch and say “that’d be sick in a game.” He’s expressing and contextualizing his own emotion through his writing. Like literally any

Even when they’re receiving death threats, the articles are still going to be “BUT LET’S GO BACK TO THE CRITICISM.”

I’ve finished this game twice now without reading any of the reviews or editorials, and I’m absolutely FLOORED by what the reaction has been. What the fuck game did everyone else played, but what I played was one of the best pieces of media (full stop) I’ve ever laid my eyes on. It’s a magnificently crafted experience

*Spits in the face of boring minds*

Why is Mar10 “forced” but no other stupid made up holiday is?

This was the one platinum trophy I was most upset about not completing. I loved this game and went through it endlessly until I had just one final challenge to complete. The final combat challenge was just so difficult, I quit. I played for weeks until I was so exhausted and angry with the game, and absolutely smashed

Midgar was like a prologue for the real game. It’s been years but it was like half a disc, max? If you looked at a timeline of events in the game, it’s like 10% at most. I don’t know how they hell they’re going to release this game in 3-4 parts without completely downsizing every other aspect of the plot for what’s

“Because DVD commentary doesn’t exist in 2020"

Have you already completed Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Bloodstained, and Axiom Verge? EDIT: Just seeing the sarcasm here.

Last I heard from Oddworld Inhabitants, the team was working on a reimagining of the second Oddworld game, Abe’s Exodus. Maybe after that they’ll dig in on some sort of sequel to Stranger’s Wrath.”

My biggest question for them is if the game can be properly ported to Quest WITHOUT the stupid link. It’s a device that’s kicking the door open for a real user base that don’t have the patience or money to build a PC, and the wireless experience is infinitely better. If there ever was a killer app, a Half-life Alyx

The best result of this would be creating some small competition in the market to drive The Pokemon Company/Game Freak to innovate more in the future. It’s unlikely, but a nice thought.
