I’m wondering how much you’d have to pay me to take it. $4k??

This could be an electric motorcycle range extender solution. Just carve a bit out of the top for Fido.
I say Porsche Cayman R. It’s probably the best driving Porsche in the modern era, still has hydraulic steering, has the newer Porsche engine without all of the issues, and it should hold value, due to rarity.
Yeah, but he was also responsible for one of the better modern BMW rears, too.
Yeah, if anything, the name Hummer will bring people into EVs who normally wouldn’t be interested.
I like the idea of it, but it looks like some kind of weird knock-off of a Taycan-Alpine-Supra (front-middle-rear.)
FWIW, I worked in a music store and helped Gavin a couple of years after this video, and he was very kind and unassuming. I just like to point those things out, because a lot of celebs often treat low wage workers like hell. ie. Art Alexakis. He was amongst the biggest a-holes I’ve ever met.
I owned a 987.1, and I actually think it’s better looking, but the 987.2 is the sweet spot, as prices show.
The 987.2 also had a 6MT and hydraulic power steering, and it didn’t have the poor engine design.
I disagree.
No!!! The 987.2 is probably the best of all water-cooled Porsche cars, at least this side of the GT stuff.
“There’s an alternate universe out there where The Fast and the Furious never happened...”
Lots and lots of millennials on the West Coast.
Yep. I’m amongst the youngest of Gen-X, and I was still too old for the Fast and the Furious stuff. Most of my friends are millennials in their early to mid thirties, and they’re into the JDM stuff. To me, the Japanese sports cars were cool cars you bought instead of a Corvette, but you’d still rather have something…
No, the point was that I’ve owned three fun cars since we starting having kids, a 911, Cayman and 135i, all of which are fun cars and not CUVs like in this article, and, even though the 3-series is too big and bulky for me, it’s still a considerably better driving option than a CUV. Heck, even a 5-series.
A family of four is fine in something like a 3 series. How many kids do you have??
My 135i IS my compromise. The backseat is plenty big enough. When I had the 911, the backseats and storage were small enough that it was a bit much for the three of us to go on longer trips, so I decided to get a Cayman, since it was usually only two of us at a time. Then I realized I hated driving my wife’s SUV so…
Do you mean you bought 2,016 Miatas??
BMW 135i. It came out during the recession, like the Challenger, and it sold in low numbers. Taking the inline-6 turbo and putting it in the smallest BMW 2+2 since the E30 was a great idea, and it also still had the hydraulic steering. Add some suspension upgrades and you have a 1M killer.
Duh.
