There are plenty of liberals who agree that sex is binary. This isn’t a liberal vs conservative thing. It’s a science vs feelings thing.

FWIW, the designer said it’s meant to look like how the light splits on the 240 headlights when they have the clear covers. 🤷‍♂️

I grew up in an automotive town in the US, and my grade school friend, Michael, claimed his dad invented this tech. I wish I could remember his last name to try and validate that probable lie!

I’m not sure where you live, but, here in Oregon, driving on windy mountain roads with paddles takes away half the fun of heel-toeing/rev matching. I feel the same even on the track. Now, if I was racing for time as the goal, I’d chose the fastest option, but for any fun track or street driving affair, the manual is

Guess it depends on personality. Having to interact with the driver is my least favorite thing about taxis and ride sharing.

I’m thinking a Volvo 242 with the batteries in the trunk. 🤷‍♂️

Needs more Porsche??

Try as I might to change, I simply loathe this car. I loathe pictures of its blob fish-slashed-by-katanas design. I loathe seeing it in person. I loathe the transmission. I loathe the run up to its introduction. I loathe that it’s a BMW underneath. I loathe that I have to suffer through Kinja to complain about it.

It’s not perfect, and the grill is weird, but it looks like a supermodel compared to the Supra, and it comes with a manual, so I think it’s doing its job.

I disagree simply in that I go on very spirited mountain runs with several friends in air-cooled 911s. While I don’t need the 400hp of my modern BMW (which I’m selling,) I bought a 944 Turbo, because it’s about the same power to weight as those 911s, so I don’t get dusted.  My Turbo with the same miles and in much

Regardless of power, heavy is still heavy when it comes to handling and suspension. Granted, I was referring to a road going model. 3500lb isn’t terrible, although still heavy for a race car.  The 1200hp GT-R is 3100lbs.

They’re also big ass cars. They weigh about as much as a Challenger, and the wheelbase is only a few inches shorter.

I don’t know.  I couldn’t really call a car with a 113” wheelbase a canyon carver.  That number would probably need to be under 100”.

It is an evolution, just not a good one. I can barely find an angle of the car that I love, while the F1 is just about perfect to me from any angle.

I hear you about the flares, but we’re talking about the rear quarter window.  See how Porsche flattened out in the 968? Not good.

I bought a Turbo, because just a simple chip makes it near-modern car fast, and the lag in the non-S Turbo isn’t bad at all.

Hate crimes per year against Jews tripled from 2013 to 2019, according to Kareem in his Hollywood Reporter article.

May not be worth spending on a Turbo S, unless you’re collecting, because the suspension will need a refresh anyways, and chips (or even a turbo upgrade) are pretty cheap on a regular Turbo.

A 951 under $10k is going to pretty rough these days. For a 951 with under 100k miles and in good shape, you’re looking at more like $15k-$25k. They’ve shot up in value the last few years, which makes sense, considering the were the same price (and speed) as a Carrera 3.2 when new, and some kids of the ‘80s (like
