Yet, when I think of Ferrari, I still think of this:

Car enthusiast, nope. Driving enthusiast, maybe.

A year and a half on now, and MaxCare has also paid for a water pump and oil filter housing gasket replacement to go along with my earlier charge pipe and headlight replacement. That shit has long since paid itself off!

Yeah, I was just messing around. It was unique for BMW, although certainly an early part of their history.

The ‘60s weren’t bad, either.

The two Porsche SUVs have outsold their sports car offerings by quite a bit for a long time, but I wouldn’t buy those, either. This is an enthusiast blog, so I’m not sure why you’re fighting for the side of the non-enthusiast. Let Porsche and Chevy make their money with whichever cars and SUVs they’d like, but, if

and with a manual transmission.

They made the third mass-produced turbo car ever way back in ‘73.

I think the BMW Supra may have already died on this date:

Nearly, except they made one of their best cars ever in 2011. I can’t think of many BMWs I’d choose over it, outside of something really old and wild, like a 2002 Turbo or original M1.

I said rich people (old people buy the Corvettes.) Kim Kardashian isn’t exactly known to be heel/toe’ing it around her favorite mountain roads every weekend.

That’s why Lotus has become more appealing to me over the past few years.

It still sucks for 3-4 people (2 adults/1 or 2 kids) for much distance, unless you’re pretty tiny.  That’s why I had to get rid of mine.

Sports cars are about being halo products. You’re selling a dream. It’s not as if they’re necessary at all. Same with manuals.

That doesn’t make sense if more expensive Porsche has a lower average aged buyer and higher manual take rate. And yes, I’ve driven a non-manual Lamborghini, and I told my wife never to rent me one in the future. I’d take a manual GT3, Evora, Spyker over it any day, but I don’t shop in that price category (I do shop in

I’m not sure I understand your point about professional drivers. We’re not talking about their race cars. I have a feeling the large majority of them own personal cars with manual transmissions. Maybe that’s something I’ll research.

Now playing

Well, he is the best, which holds a little more weight.

Weird. Lewis Hamilton wishes F1 would go back to manuals, and he custom ordered a Pagani with a manual.

I’ve always seen the GLA listed anywhere from 58.8”-60”, so right in that line.
