Because they are still tall. To be a regular hatch, they generally need to be under 59”-60” tall. I’m not sure how tall this A1 is, but that’s the case for CUVs like the X2.

Yeah, I’m just saying the Supra is kind of big and heavy for what it is, too. Again, Cayman wins. I mean, my 135i is somehow about the same size and lighter than a Supra, and it has a usable backseat and trunk.

I would imagine the Supra’s design is more polarizing. While not exactly original, I haven’t seen the hate towards the C8's design like the Supra. Plus, the Supra kind of looks like the FT-1 adjusted to fit someone else’s car, which is essentially what it is.
I don’t like the back end, and it’s not my favorite design of all time, but I think that’s crazy talk when compared to other cars in it’s price range. I mean, I hate GM, and I’d pick a Cayman over both, but this makes the Supra look like a blob fish:
Yeah, I know. I’m just saying the Supra is pretty heavy, being 400lbs heavier than a Cayman.
The Supra weights 3400 lbs, so it isn’t exactly a lightweight.
A local guy has a white 987 Spyder just like the one above, and whenever I see it at local Porsche meet ups, it really stands out. Super cool.
I believe it started on the 1975 911 Turbo (930,) and then also continued on Turbo wide-body cars, whether they were turbo or not.
Yeah, I think the 718 Spyder is better looking and plenty capable.
Rock chip protection for the wide hips. They’ve been doing it since the ‘70s.
Yeah, I’ve been making that analogy (same with records) for a while now. It’s about the journey, especially since cars have long been way too fast for public roads.
There have long been 2-door sedans. The BMW 2002 is the first that comes to mind, and they even called the two-door E30 a sedan in adverts.
Nah. A manual just separates those who value the journey vs. the destination, similar to mechanical watches, fly fishing, record players, etc.
I’m fine with it. It makes life easier. Now, every time I see a C8, just like when I see a modern supercar, I’ll be certain the C8 was purchased for dick measuring.
Me too.
Sure, but I’m saying the Corvette needs storage space, and, like the first NSX, that’s how you do it with a mid-engine car. Don't get me wrong, though, the styling of the rear is the worst part of this car.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s technically great, but it takes a lot of the fun out of it for me.
Oh fuck off. This is a car enthusiasm forum. I accept and expect the transition to electric, but that’s the day I stop having fun talking about cars. I don’t even have a commute, so I don’t drive many miles. Eating meat is probably the worst thing I do to the environment.
