Agreed. If it doesn’t have three pedals and is about performance, may as well go all the way to electric. Manual enthusiasts cars are going to be about fun, at least until we’re no longer allowed to drive ICE cars.

Yep, and Spyker, too!
I’m sure it would be impractical, but it would be awesome if you could retrofit these to older, less safe cars.
Don’t forget he was inspired by Kate Winslet when designing the XK. I’m pretty sure my partner hates it when I bring that up every time I see an XK...
Huh? I drive manuals primarily for driving on public roads.
Being slightly faster is not a worthy trade off for many of us. An electric, self-driving car will be faster than I am with a stick, too.
Here’s the first spy shot of the A100 Supra:
Hoffmeister stink
God damn it, I’m a Blazers fan who can’t stand the Warriors, but Drake could make me root for them.
All old dudes look like idiots, so it doesn’t matter. We all share the same destiny in that regard.
Limp Bizkit was the Korn of the 311 area code.
Dude is apparently still hooning around in that RUF from time to time:
Agreed about spending the money after kids grow up, but my point was that there are a lot of other $60K+ toys out there with lower averaged age buyers. The Corvette, for some reason, has mainly become the retiree’s prize.
To be fair, there’s a certain plasticky terribleness of American cars that’s hard to quantify, which is why the Germans dominate luxury car sales, and that’s coming from a guy with a dad who worked for GM for 30 years.
I don’t know. The Porsche 911 is more expensive and tracks 10 years younger in buyer age. The Boxster/Cayman even younger than that. Corvettes just aren’t “cool.”
Vape helmets??
True, which is why leaving out manuals on enthusiasts cars, because the overall manual take rate is low, makes no sense.
No, people said the Corvette was finally going to shed its old man reputation after those models.
“Enter the new C8 mid-engined ‘exotic’ vette to pump in new blood.”
It’s not just a stereotype. The average Corvette buyer age still hovers around 60.
