Argh, sorry, you’re right. Someone was talking about the other one earlier, and I conflated your posts. Still, I find the newer one middling at best.

The last 6 series? Seriously? I didn’t realize we were to the point that such a universally panned car was being thought about fondly in retrospect. I still think that’s one of the worst BMW designs ever.

Seriously?  Calling the Z8 one of the most beautiful BMW designs, certainly from the millennium, isn’t controversial.  It’s widely regarded as such.

Ugh, just last week I was thinking about how I consider the 6 to probably be the ugliest BMW of the millennium...and that’s coming from someone who drives a 135i, which is no prom queen.

Yep.  It is still so fucking awesome.

Wow, for a second I thought the Audi was an SUV.

I may personally be a big fan of a gasoline powered car with a manual transmission, but the futuristic design of this car, both inside and out, really begs for an electric powertrain. I never thought that I’d say something like this, but it almost seems weird hearing that engine coming from the car.

Orange you glad I didn’t say B-A-N-A-N-A?

They should have called it the Porsche Bananarama GTS.

I don’t know. Pound for pound, she’s insane, but she’s only 4'8" 104lbs, so I kind of feel like I’d have a chance, since I’m nearly double her weight and a foot and a half taller.

For all of the grief it gets about the front, I think the 996.2 has the best rear in the water-cooled era. Note the bumper line that lines up with the lights and trunk. Very clean and not obnoxiously wide.

Toyota, Jaguar, who cares?!?!  BMW be like:

Yeah, me too. In related news, my wife’s dad was an editor on this show. :)

Have you ever been to Hollywood? You’re lucky to have a garage/driveway that even accommodates 2 cars in a $1.5 million house, so, assuming it’s a spouse situation, that’s a car for each person. I can’t even think of anyone I know, outside of a few seriously wealthy individuals, who has more than one car, which is

I owned one, and it’s all you really need, but it’s not really THAT big.

Holy crap, I didn’t realize those death machines had come down that much.  Hmmmm...

In a city like Hollywood, it isn’t exactly easy to store more than one car per person. Plus, if you actually love driving manual, driving manual in traffic isn’t that big of a deal.

I didn’t sell that one to CarMax. I ended up trading it in at a Mercedes dealer, but of course I left a couple of grand on the table. Have you ever dealt with a picky Porsche buyer? Not dealing with that shit over the course of weeks or months is easily worth it to me.

I’ve purchased some cars from CarMax for good prices. Just like anything else, you have to shop nationwide and find the good deals.  I’ve also been bailed out by the MaxCare warranty, but YMMV.
