I bought a deep 2x2 stainless steel sink for my laundry room at a local restaurant supplier. I can wash (and soak!) absolutely huge things in it. It was a very smart purchase.

Traffic stops should not receive the death penalty.

I don’t know about weight, but you put a Manhattan on the bar and I’ll drink the hell out of it.

As I understand it, Qualified immunity is for when a cop violates someone’s rights but had a good faith assumption he wasn’t. Say there wasn’t solid precedent. This on the other hand is pretty clearly attempted murder or man slaughter. It’s not a matter of rights.

He should be charged with attempted murder.

It’ll pay out, but her rates are going to skyrocket. It’s probably worth the cost to hire a lawyer and get any charges this oaf files on her dismissed in which case this will be more likely to be treated like any accidental collision.

This cop should spend a decade in prison for attempted murder.

I think this is largely true, but since all aspects of the car market are inflated, if you are offloading a somewhat later model vehicle (think 2011 and up) that’s in reasonable shape, your equity position in that car is inflated too. So the delta is not that much different than in normal times.

Ran into an odd example of the times. My wife’s lease was up(Toyota), so we went to both Honda and Toyota to get a new lease two weeks ago. The Honda salesman talked us into not giving the car back to Toyota, but letting them handle it. That transaction resulted in over $2000 down towards a new Honda lease!!??

I believe the original idea was to couple it with a really aggressive free tuition at public universities (and community colleges) initiative, so that future students could get a very good education for free, but you could still choose to go into massive debt at a private school if you really wanted to do that.

So I’m definitely not in the “I paid mine off so f*ck everybody else” camp, and I’d love to see these people helped, but there’s one thing I don’t understand: is forgiveness just a one-time occurence? So everybody who has student loan debt now essentially wins a birthdate lottery, and future students start building up

Or, you know, a battery pack with jumper cables?  You can save yourself, or others, without needing a second car.

Meh let tossing it be their problem, I want to enjoy my stuff until the day I die.  They’re making enough money off my estate, they can throw things out.

Regarding “You don’t have to display everything at once”

Really? I read it immediately as making fun of white people who minimize the problems black people face (and are the majority of supporters for the anti-science GOP).

Your lack of comprehension and sensitivity underscores the artist’s point.

It reads as a jab at dumbass white ladies to me, and how they will try to run other people’s lives

Because it’s her job and it’s good information. Why did you comment what you did?

Lots of jokes, but this is a good rule of thumb. Great follow-on article would be a ranked list of what other vehicles to put your money in once you’ve reached that savings account max that is recommended.
