I think what hurt the Tacoma’s lateral acceleration in this test was the additional sidewall, which has much less of an effect on braking and acceleration. My point is, if it makes such a little difference in performance (which it apparently does), choose the one that’s easier to maintain and requires less maintenance.
Tires matter more to stopping distances than brake setups, besides 2 feet isn’t much when we’re talking about a 200ft braking distance anyway (about 1%.) Also, I’m sure the rear discs are much better at dissipating heat and never require adjusting.
not possible. The firing pattern and cadence of a crossplane V8 and a 60 degree V6 are just too different. The engines have a fundamentally different sound.
