Well, with the exception of the very recent year or so of low gas prices, the truck market hasn’t really been growing. Most of it is people moving from cars to crossovers. I don’t really consider a Honda CRV to be a truck.

I only described his clothes because “It’s a work truck” so most people assume he should either be dressed like a rancher, or an oil man.
Probably.
So you don’t mutter “Cock sucker. What’s he need such a big truck for? Bet he’s got a small dick.” under your breath when you pass a completely empty F450 Lariat King Ranch Super Duty Platinum with a guy in a dress shirt that is driving perfectly fine? I doubt it.
And there is someone out there thinking that Chevy would make their version of a Raptor if it wasn’t for all those damn hatchback loving idiots.
Volkswagen Sportwagen...
Ahh, the Jalopnik standard.
Who wants a black work truck? Especially as a fleet buyer.
I don’t know shit about drag racing or safety regulations, but I thought it was odd when the driver was dressed up in a full fire suit, yet the passenger looks like someone just tossed him an old helmet and said hop in.
How’s the 4-cylinder? There is a nice Comanche 5-speed, 4x4 for sale by me and I’m considering it, but it’s a 4-cylinder. I’ll primarily be using it for small truck things, including commuting to work. So I’m not expecting it to be fast, but manageable to merge onto a highway without getting rear ended.
You are stepping all over yourself with your arguments. What about all those Ford dealers that had to do aluminum body panel training for the lowly F150? Shouldn’t they be selling those trucks for more than MSRP then? How in the world can they afford it!?!?
Now imagine what you would have been paying if the manufacturers didn’t have to work in hidden money for the dealers so they were still making money while selling below MSRP.
Does it sell Leafs with their other cars though? I mean, sure, you might spot one or two on the lot, but are they actually selling? No, not really. Not at least in any real amount that means anything.
The canopy shaped rear window on the C4, C5 and C6 was one of the best design features (I’m leaving the C3 out, because the earlier models looked better without it). Plus it made it easier to see out of, which is a bit of a rarity when it comes to high performance cars (dare I say supercars?).
Except that $38,000 Fusion Sport is like, $10,000 more than you should be spending on any Passat.
You are confusing car dealers and car manufacturers. The dealer doesn’t give a flying fuck if you are going to bring in a briefcase with $50,000 in it to buy your car in cash. They’ll still have $50,000 and you’ll still have your car at the end of the day even if you financed it. You finance the car, the bank pays the…
