Unrelated, but are we accepting the use of "girl" to describe grown women? Because I really find it irksome that we've collectively decided that a 20-something is a "girl." She's a grown woman. She should be treated as such, including in language. Oh well.

It says she was accepting money for expenses, not tuition. So they could have thought student loans were paying for the school and they were giving her money for books, living expenses, etc.

It's irrelevant why they're doing it. Dehumanizing a group of people based on their legal choice of work (porn is legal, remember?) is inhumane. Targeting sexworkers in particular is misogynistic.

Yeah I don't get it. Everyone watches porn and most guys I know have been to strip clubs before, but everyone wants to judge strippers and porn stars.

Seriously. No one wants to help or listen to them but everybody just loves to participate in judgment of sex workers.

It's sad that sex work is still a taboo. People like to pretend that they don't watch porn or go to prostitutes or use sex toys, but they have no problem condemning those that use sex to merely survive.
