Disgusting. Having a child is not some temporary thing you can do in a relationship. Whether or not both parents stay involved they both HAVE A CHILD the rest of their lives. Kids are expensive, mentally draining, and if you have one without wanting them it can be detrimental to their psyche for decades to come.

Not to mention, the woman gave birth 9 months ago. He's probably still reeling from 'oh my God, I have a new human to raise' to be seriously considering another one. How 'bout you just focus on the kid you *do* have, there, lady with terrible friends?

Mr. Freude and I have one kid and another on the way, so I know this: Deciding to add to your family will drastically change your finances, your love life, your free time, your hobbies, your relationship with your friends, your thoughts about life, your eating habits, your sanity, and your sleep. To make the decision

More than an effect on time, finances, and trust - that's bordering on reproductive abuse. Nobody is entitled to force anyone's hand in terms of their autonomy over their body. Wendy Williams, you have fucked up royally.

Hopefully, Wendy will pay that child support.

I agree, its abhorent to force a pregnancy on a partner. My advice to this lady: tell him how you want another child and that you are going off BCP. After this point, its up to him whether or not he wants to have unprotected sex, or he could always just wrap his dick up. I don't see why she should have to stay on

That is so fucked up.

Nope. Not. Ever. Ok.

The relationship would be essentially over if a woman did this to me. I'd do right by the kid, but I would resent it as well.

Run, don't walk, unknown guy who's life is being decided on national TV, and get a vasectomy. Run.

Yeah, well, Polish Peasant says it isn't okay.

I don't see where I ignored the opinion. The piece IS fiction and I agreed that it was a good way to get into the mind of the other person. With that in mind, I still wonder if this lawsuit is the best idea.

Sorry, when someone says "They did not apply their brakes properly" when she hit them FROM BEHIND I don't believe this fiction. Additionally, the speeds involved indicate what is likely a rural road with no street lighting, which unless there is oncoming traffic you should have your high beams on. Roads like those

All somewhat valid except for when she refers to a 17 year old on a bike as "an incompetent cyclist".

No. One does not sue the dead. And she was speeding.

Sorry, not sorry, but bullshit. As someone who's been on the other side - i.e. the victim of a negligent driver, this woman has no place to be suing for 1.35 million dollars and neither does her insurance company. And no, she is not a victim. She was speeding on a dark country road and hit three cyclists. The

Absolute BULLSHIT. PURE BULLSHIT. She was drinking. They know where she was driving from. How much she drank is being debated and will be discussed in civil court. Husband is a Police officer. No breath test demanded - contrary to police procedures in Ontario in the event of a motor vehicle accident causing death.

I knew before I even got to the comments that there would be some devil's advocacy to complete my Callous Internet Horseshit Bingo card.

It should also be noted that her police-officer husband was following her that night, was first on the scene, and told her to go home after the accident with no breathalyzer. I smell a cover-up.

Don't forget to mention the part where her husband is a police officer and was driving behind her that night!
