Saw it last night and adored it. Rey and Finn are a fantastic duo and Daisy Ridley deserves a lot of credit for how great it was. She has a very expressive face and she used it well.
I didn’t think having a lady-lead would make that much of a difference to me (I didn’t think I’d feel so included) but it legitimately did in the best way possible.
YAS YAS YAS
Speaking of Star War, Harrison Ford made $34M for it.
Maybe, but she’d at the very least have a support system that wasn’t indoctrinated with the same “well... God says (insert platitude here) and it’s partly your fault anyway for not being more “open” to him” crap that she was. If she were allowed at least ONE supportive non-quiverfull/fundamentalist friend she'd have a…
I pity her, she’s been raised not to see or know about the very real options she has.
yeah Sheldon was always SO MEAN to Howard for NO REASON. on top of being a jerk all the time to everyone because of his social awkwardness.
my husband says it’s because when people are actually like this, they aren’t likable, so he hates them biproxy.
I thought early Sheldon was worse than Howard. Howard was gross but who would ever have been friends with Sheldon with the way he treated them.
I’ve come around to it in a lot of ways, although my biggest problem is that no one would stick with Sheldon as his friend in those early years. He was just a huge dick for absolutely no reason. The undiagnosed “autism” reason does not explain him.
i think a lot of people stopped watching before Howard & Bernadette got together and because of his grossness they hated the whole show.
that and sheldon is an ASS. but i love him. he is like a bad puppy or something. like oh you destroyed everything* but you are just too cute to stay mad at.
*by everything i mean…
A few years ago my mom was in the hospital for emergency brain surgery (she’s absolutely fine now), and during her time there / in the rehab clinic, we brought in a small portable DVD player for her. One of the few she watched regularly were seasons 1 and 2 of The Big Bang Theory; she said it was light and silly…
Meeee too. Except the hating myself part. I’m totally ok with my great like (I won’t say love) of this show.
I find it perfectly fun and harmless and enjoy it a lot. My favourite show is Arrested Development so it's not like I can only enjoy simple brainless things (like people tend to assume if you like BBT)
I know it’s popular to hate this show, but geeze guys, its a sitcom. I don’t watch Gilmore Girls to get answers to hard hitting questions either.
I inexplicably love this show. It’s like a vacation for my brain, but I find everyone lovable as well. I find myself invested in the characters and their relationships and I kind of hate myself, but whatever. I have other far more admirable qualities that people can focus on.
Why can’t the nerds fuck after seeing Star War
I think nerds and STEM grads who like the show do it because it gives them a certain comfort because, hey, at least they are way more functional that those nitwits.
The Las Vegas ensemble she wore for the Las Vegas wedding (of course) was even better....
