I’m not even a Ford guy, but that's good taste, right there.

For the record: we don’t have any black, white, grey, or silver cars. Green, blue, and bright red in our garage.

Can be hard to find a dealership with any real color in-stock. I had to order my SS to get “Mystic Green” (kind of a metallic sage green). The local manual cars were black and white. There was one red automatic and one Jungle Green automatic at the sole “brave” dealership in the area. Everyone else stuck with black,

Yep. Subaru did such a great job marketing their cars to a specific “image”, I can’t stomach them anymore. The Outback 3.6 is a perfectly functional, practical car if you live on 600 acres, have to drive through 9" of snow every winter, and traverse a gravel road every day. But seriously... the overbearing

I have a 2011 Silverado 2500 with the Duramax diesel. Empty it will get 18-19 if I drive it normal-ish. Basically I just don’t stick my boot in it all the time because 765 ft-lbs with no load in the bed will chew up expensive tires very quickly! With a few thousand pounds on it (4000-5000) it drops to 14-16 depending

I’ll second this... or third, or whatever, seems a lot of Jalops agree.

Sure, why not. I’ll start mentioning it in my comments if that time comes, maybe start a bidding war. Have it posted as a NP/CP car. Get Tavarish to explain why a used SS is better than (insert absurdly incomparable car).

1) Exactly. Top end as you said, bottom end is probably going to be single digits or teens if flogged around a particularly inefficient track (tight bends, elevation change, lots of accel/decel).

Couple things:

Frack, really glad I read this. My in-laws just brought one of these home a little over a week ago... I ran the VIN, and it's under this recall. Yikes. Glad I checked. They've parked it and will call the dealership on Monday.

Oh dear, I think I threw up a little at the sight of that new Prius. Trigger warnings man, trigger warnings.

All the stars.

15/22/17... hey, that sounds kinda familiar...

This.

Let me repeat your own words again:

Yeah, sounds like the minority if you look nationwide. In the “normal” majority out here in the sticks. Folks out here have trucks because they have working farms, ranches, or other acreage. Our nearest neighbor is a half-mile away and runs a bison ranch. Flat beds, custom work beds, diesel transfer tanks for filling

That’s a pretty narrow-minded definition of ignorance. “If you disagree with me you must be ignorant.”

Actually, last time I priced E34 M5s, $18,900 would have me wondering what the heck is wrong with this one. If the pics look that good but the price is that low, I’m thinking “too good to be true”.

This.

I get tired of all the bickering over pickups. The suburbanites with trucks they don’t need, then the pushback from the Prius-driving holier-than-thou peanut gallery. My wife and I live on 600 acres. I have to tow 10,000 lbs of equipment sometimes, and no, a half-ton with a “12,000 lb tow rating” is not actually
