I’m surprised that YOU’RE surprised they hate it. It’s taken the Crash route—positive reviews, Oscar win, steadily rising reassessment/backlash, etc. I still like it b/c I liked it when I saw it, but it’s easy to watch now and realize how ... childish, it all seems. Like a first year art student’s idea of a prestige

I have been burned too many times before, with each sequel somehow being shittier than the last. T3 was always going to pale in comparison to T2, but it looks like the fucking Godfather compared to Salvation, and I never bothered to see Genisys because I watched the trailer. Didn’t Cameron say all this same shit about

I LOVE LATRICE and seeing her in this series is so great. She’s also not wrong about the Verde sauce. All the sauces are good, but why would you get rid of the one unique one and just keep the 4 different levels of heat? Mild is just delicious. Medium and Hot are pointless—they’re not even that hot. Diablo is good and

If that’s what GRRM has in mind, I trust him to build up to it properly and justify it and I’ll likely be happy with it. I don’t have a problem with Bran becoming king. I have a problem with show-Bran of seasons 6-8, whose story D&D cared so little about they just cut him from an entire season, being made king because

I don’t know how many times I can repeat this, but what happened was not the problem--it was how they got there. They clearly just wanted it to end and pushed the show and the characters to that endpoint without giving a shit if it made sense or not. If that’s the ending GRRM has in mind, I’m happy with it, but that’s

I hate that the internet is making me feel bad for these twats, because they absolutely don't deserve to be afraid to go out in public, but they also don't deserve my pity after the colossal fuck-up that was season 8.

Based on other comments that understand more about hardware than myself (although nothing about what’s actually inside the Switch Lite) there is specific hardware within the Switch itself that allows it to dock. That may be missing in this, so it might not be possible.

Tons of people play their Switch exclusively in handheld mode and/or on the go—do you not see how this might appeal to people like them considering the size and the battery life? I’m a bit miffed it doesn’t support TV mode--if the dock is really nothing more than a connector and provides no extra processing power

Seems odd that you can’t use TV mode at all—didn’t we confirm the dock has no extra processing power, it’s basically just a connector? I mean obviously that’s not the point of this model, but it still seems odd they couldn’t just keep that feature in case anyone wants to use it.

Nintendo loves random colors--remember the purple GBC or GameCube? And people always fall in love with them in the end.

She really is fucking awesome--I can’t wait to see what she does in this. Still skeptical about this whole idea, but I want it to be good so I’ll remain somewhat optimistic!

Having kinda disliked the earlier AC games I tried, I gave this one a shot b/c of the Greek setting and LOVED it. However, whatever line they tried to walk with the modern-day stuff failed spectacularly—I’ve been transported to the present once or twice and had no fucking idea what was happening, who these people

This sounds interesting. Dunst is extremely talented, so I’m definitely up for it.

I HATE THAT SO MUCH! There’s no reason he needed to be American, and as much as I LOVE Cumberbatch and think he’s a great Strange, he does an awful American accent. It’s at least gotten better through Endgame, but it was such an unnecessary problem to begin with.

Honestly, that accent is going to be hard for anyone to pull off without sounding like an idiot. I know the fanboys would rage, but he’d be a great Gambit if they just dropped the accent.

What a weird way to take a small part of my hypothetical argument and make it somewhat racist! First, most undergrads live on or near campus, so the “majority white College students” don’t really benefit from my hypothetical. They’re also about the only subset of UChicago affiliated people who are majority white. The

She’s always a delight when she pops up in anything! She’s also a vampire, having not aged a day since I first saw her in Speed in 1994.

I did the same, and for the same reason I’ll get to the end of a TV show I love and hold off watching the last episode--I just don’t want it to end.

What a refreshingly original take!

Marvel Ultimate Alliance isn’t as “pretty,”is basically an old-school beat-em-up, and probably took half the development time ... and I’m still looking forward to it a lot more than this at this moment.
