If we’re complaining about things she didn’t win, I’m still salty she’s not an Oscar winner. “Travelin’ Thru” deserved it by a mile over “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp.”

That’s part of the point—she’s obsessed with people who do not deserve her (or the world’s) obsession. Olsen is an empty Instagram celebrity who just knows how to look pretty and take pretty pictures, yet those sorts of people get tens of thousands of followers who become obsessed with everything they do or wear.
Yeah, I really hate that argument, and yours seems a pretty logical answer. Primarily: BECAUSE THEY’RE FUCKING EXPENSIVE! Sure, they may seem a dime a dozen in the SW universe, but big capital ships are anything but, and you’d have to be pretty desperate to destroy one like that.
Michael isn’t punished as much as he should be, sure, but it’s a TV show that ran for multiple seasons, so that wouldn’t change regardless of when it aired. But I disagree with a lot of the premise here—if anything, this show is more relevant than ever. Michael is clearly shown to be a buffoon who makes everyone…
To nitpick—they do show her getting into the control chair or whatever it’s called, pressing buttons, and piloting the ship to turn it around towards the First Order.
Luke, Leia, and Ben Solo were all integral to the plot of this movie. It is literally the most Skywalker-heavy movie in the Star Wars canon. What?
I was also frustrated, but we knew just as little about Emperor Palpatine, didn’t we? Just that he was the leader of the bad guys and the personal master of the one bad guy the audience cares about. Sure, we learned more in the prequels and the EU, but the same will happen with Snoke.
The eyes are only part of the problem. She’d still look fake as hell without the eyes, especially next to every other live-action actor in this. The problem is just shitty CGI and Robert Rodriguez’s and James Cameron’s decision-making abilities.
They weren’t, you’re just misinterpreting it so you can be outraged. It’s a pretty legitimate comparison to make—for people who have been publicly shamed and exiled for doing horrible things, what is our tolerance for a comeback?
Beautifully said! It’s hard to describe how the game makes me feel, and it’s part of why I won’t blame anyone for having issues with it. I could put together a long list of small-to-big complaints about the game, but the moment you leave the shrine of resurrection and see Hyrule sprawling out before you, they all just…
I also forgot she died, but I’m pretty sure that was her in the trailer yelling “Down with the patriarchy!” And she appears to be played by Donna Lynne Champlin, who is hilarious on Crazy Ex Girlfriend and a good choice! The Hortenses have just gotten progressively worse so maybe this can reverse the trend. Artemis…
Fuck you for sitting on this so long, Comedy Central, but I’m SO EXCITED this is finally coming back. This show is hilarious.
It does mean something, but like @roare said, the fact that he’s been vehemently denying it for months/years now, or brushing it off as rumors, kinda undoes any goodwill he may have earned.
I am SO IMPRESSED with Will/Noah Schapp. How the hell did the Duffer brothers luck out to get so many wonderful child actors? I was worried after last season that there’s no way he’d be able to compete with the others after spending most of the season elsewhere, but he’s blowing it out of the water just like the rest…
Don’t talk about Nintendo references in a game that’s not even on a Nintendo system. It’s just not fair!
I can’t WAIT for this to come to Switch!
I couldn’t care less about the topic of the show, as long as Amy Sedaris is on my screen being herself. Thankfully, this looks delightful and hilarious. I love her more than life.
Agreed, I thought they just kept getting better, but opinions on that whole series are ridiculously polarized.
Considering there is no Virtual Console on their current flagship system, that last comment just seems mean! I’D LOVE TO BUY MOTHER 2 OR CHRONO TRIGGER FOR SWITCH IF I COULD, TAKAO!
Here’s the thing about Sarah Connor/Linda Hamilton’s portrayal in T2: She was just a typical male action hero who happened to be a woman. Was it revolutinary to have a woman play such a part? I guess. But I don’t understand why that’s the part Cameron goes to when defending his feminist credentials when he also…
