There should have been better communication, even with a last-minute call to change the tire compound, engineers and mechanics should have been in contact to notify of the delay in getting the tires, and they should have let Ricciardo go around one more time.

Or channel more air into the intake. The engineers will find a away to use it to their advantage.

My guess is they’ll just reengineer their YT-whatever vortex off the front wings to account for that. To be honest, most likely they’ll already be trying to keep air off of it anyway, much as they already direct much of the air over or around the driver compartment.

and add some more down force too maybe.
